Running Trades
Individual exchange trades as they print, with price, size and, when the exchange gives it, the brokers on each side.
Sources
Exchange running trades, polled through the session for the stocks being watched.
Coverage
Over the last week of regular-board trading we stored trades for 840 stocks. Those trades add up to 5.2% of the exchange's regular-board volume overall; for a typical stock and day the share is 44.6%, because thinly traded stocks are captured almost whole and the busiest are sampled. Broker codes are present on 14.8% of stored trades.
Update frequency
Polled through each trading session.
What an agent can do alone
Nothing without an account: running trades are paid data and are never republished free.
Known gaps
Because the busiest stocks are sampled, totals built from running trades (net buying, VWAP, broker attribution) are not reliable for them. Daily broker flow and the per-minute buy and sell split are the complete sources for those questions. Negotiated-board trades never carry brokers.
When it fails
When a poll is missed or access to the feed lapses, the gap shows as missing trades, never as zero volume.
