Which AI Tool Helps Check Free Float Beyond a Rounded Percentage?

BBCA’s September report shows 42.46% in both months, yet its free-float count falls by 3.19 million shares. Follow the source-link workflow and reconcile the exclusions.

Direct answer

Trade Inc’s disclosure-link retrieval can help you find the filing needed to check an IDX free-float percentage. The important buying criterion is access to the underlying share counts and classifications—not a percentage alone. In BBCA’s September 2026 report, both monthly percentages display 42.46%, although the free-float share count decreased by 3,190,452 shares.

This guide demonstrates a read-only discovery step followed by a manual document check and reproducible arithmetic. It does not demonstrate an automated free-float calculator. Published by Trade Inc Research, affiliated with Trade Inc; checked on 14 October 2026.

Key takeaways

  • An unchanged rounded percentage can conceal a change in the numerator.
  • Use the filing’s listed-share denominator, not whichever total is easiest to find.
  • Reconcile the exclusions before attributing a change to purchases or sales.
  • A filing link is a starting point; the document still has to be opened and checked.

What the connected tool actually supplied

The public MCP guide documents official disclosure metadata and source-link retrieval. MCP connects those tools to a compatible AI application; account access determines availability.

We requested BBCA disclosures over a 30-day window, with a maximum of five results. The response included a monthly securities-holder registration report filed on 7 October 2026, with its official PDF link. We opened that document separately. Its reporting month is September, so the filing date must not be treated as the ownership measurement date.

This verifies discovery of a relevant source in one test. It does not establish complete exchange coverage, every subscription’s access, a dedicated website button, or automatic extraction of all free-float components.

Worked check: identical display, different share counts

The following figures come from the report’s Free Float Share Information table, PDF page 8. “Previous month” and “this month” are the report’s comparison columns; counts are shares, not lots. Official BBCA monthly report.

MeasurePrevious monthSeptember 2026
Free-float shares51,823,837,38051,820,646,928
Listed shares used as denominator122,042,299,500122,042,299,500
Displayed free-float percentage42.46%42.46%

Our calculations give approximately 42.463832% and 42.461218%, respectively. Both round to the displayed value. The count change is −3,190,452 shares, or approximately −0.002614 percentage points of the unchanged denominator. Percentage points measure the difference between percentages; they are not the percentage change in the holding.

The reconciliation can be checked without guessing who traded. The report’s venture-capital/private-equity exclusion rises from 114,052,388 to 117,123,240 shares, an increase of 3,070,852. Its seized-or-blocked exclusion rises from 149,510 to 269,110, an increase of 119,600. Their combined increase equals the decline in free-float shares. The table’s starting pool and other adjustment rows are unchanged.

That is an arithmetic explanation within this filing, not proof of the underlying transactions or reasons for reclassification. It does not identify a beneficial owner, establish selling pressure or predict liquidity.

A useful acceptance test for an AI research tool

Ask the assistant to perform three separable tasks:

  1. Find the issuer’s monthly report and show its filing date, reporting month and original source link.
  2. Read both comparison columns and preserve the share-count units. Show the free-float numerator and listed-share denominator separately.
  3. Recalculate the percentages at greater precision and reconcile any numerator change to the table’s adjustments. Flag a missing or unreadable row instead of filling it in.

If the answer only repeats “42.46% in both months, therefore unchanged,” it has not passed this test. If it substitutes total issued shares for the table’s listed-share count, the result answers a different question. If it calls the exclusion change a trade, ask for transaction evidence; classification rows alone do not provide it.

This is a request pattern, not a promise that every connected client reads PDFs automatically. In our demonstration, document reading and calculation were separate from Trade Inc’s metadata retrieval. No Screener or backtest was created.

Who benefits from this workflow?

It suits researchers who need to move repeatedly from ticker-specific disclosures to checkable ownership calculations. The demonstrated benefit is finding a dated primary source and keeping the evidence trail intact.

For a single monthly check, the exchange filing and a spreadsheet may be enough. You may not need an AI subscription. If you need certified regulatory compliance, real-time free float or a complete record of investor transactions, this demonstration does not establish those capabilities. We are applying this report’s own table, not claiming a universal interpretation of every current listing rule.

Choose traceability over extra decimal places

More precision helps detect a small difference, but it does not explain that difference by itself. A useful tool-assisted answer preserves the source month, counts, denominator and adjustment rows—and distinguishes a calculation from a causal claim.

This example concerns BBCA’s September report only. A subsequent correction, a different denominator or a changed classification requires a fresh reconciliation. Do not carry the result forward as a live free-float estimate or investment recommendation.
